Which Museum Will YOU Visit First?

  1. Come to Somers Public Library and check out a  pass — just like a book!
  2. Take the pass to the Museum/Theatre/Park partner and enjoy special admission prices or free entrance to parks.
  3. After you have enjoyed a great day, return the pass to the library, so another patron can check it out.

  • Maximum of two passes (for different museums) that may be borrowed per family at a time.
  • Two reservations for different museums can be placed at the same time.
  • 14 day period between Pass reservations
  • Passes can be reserved up to 60 days in advance
  • Make the reservation for the date you plan on picking up the library pass. 
Pick Up & Return Museum & Park Passes
  • Physical Passes
    • Pick Up at Somers Library Reference Desk the day before your planned Museum-Park visit.
    • Return at Somers Library Reference Desk.
      • Passes may NOT: be left in book drop, returned to another library, and be renewed.
  • Printable Passes- Reserve the Pass & Somers Library will email you your pass to print out.
  • Discounts – Get discounted admission with your library membership at SomersLibrary.org
Cancel Reservation -

Patrons should cancel their reservations so others can use the Pass. Visit OR Call Somers Library 914-232-5717

Late Fees & Fines

  • $10 for each day the pass is late

  • $30 the pass is returned in the book drop or at another library.

  • The full cost of the pass will be charged to the cardholder if the pass is lost. The cost of each pass varies and can be as high as $500.

Empire Pass

Type of Pass: Physical -- Pick Up At Somers Library

Each Museum Pass Includes:

  • Usable for one vehicle entrance fee at a time (including motorcycles).
  • Patrons keep the pass as long as the booking duration permits and can visit at any time during that checkout period.

Additional Information:

  • The Empire Pass is your key to all-season enjoyment at New York State Parks. It provides unlimited day-use vehicle entry to most facilities operated by New York State Parks and the State Dept. of Environmental Conservation including forests, beaches, trails and more. Empire Passes are available for one year, multi-year or your lifetime. Instead of paying the vehicle use fee on each visit, simply present your season pass and it waives the fee for day use entry
Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library And Museum

Each Museum Pass Includes:

  • Admits up to 5 people to the Presidential Library and Museum only.
  • The pass must be filled out before the visit and then handed in at the ticket counter at the Wallace Visitor Center
  • The person who has the pass must present ID at the museum on the day of the visit

  • Admits 2 adults and accompanying children up to age 18 in the same household to The Manor House, which is home to the Live Animal Museum.
  • Discounted rates to special events and nature-based education programs.

Additional Info:

  • The grounds are open every day from dawn to dusk. There is no admission fee to walk the grounds.
  • The Manor House, which is home to the Live Animal Museum, is open Tuesday-Sunday 10am-4pm.
  • The Live Animal Museum does not have an elevator and/or handicap accessible entrance.
Intrepid Sea, Air, And Space Museum Complex

Each Museum Pass Includes:

  • $3 off General Admission ticket or 10% discount on LSC Membership purchased at the museum.

Important Directions For Liberty Science Center Museum & Park Pass:

  • Bring your Somers Library card and a valid ID to the museum when you visit. You will need to show them to get the discounted admission.
Mohonk Preserve

Type of Pass: Physical — Pick Up At Somers Library

Each Museum Pass Includes:

  • Enjoy hiking, biking, rock climbing, horseback riding, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing. Equipment and horses are not provided.
  • Access for one vehicle with up to four (4) visitors age 16 and up.
  • Children 15 years old and younger are free when accompanied by an adult pass holder.
  • If visitors are not in a vehicle, the maximum group size is four (4) per pass.
  • To validate your Library Lending Pass, please present this pass at any of the Mohonk Preserve Trailheads during business hours to redeem your free day-use wristband.
  • All visitors with a Somers Library Pass must have a wristband in order to access Mohonk Preserve.
  • Additional visitors ages 16 and up will need to purchase a $15 or $20 day fee depending on activity for access to Mohonk Preserve.

Additional Information

  • Parking at Mohonk Preserve is first come, first served. Possession of a pass does not guarantee a parking spot. Visitation at off peak times especially during spring and fall is recommended as lots may fill quickly.

Restrictions

  • Mohonk Library Pass is not valid for parking or entry to the Mohonk Mountain House or Minnewaska State Park. You may hike onto the Mohonk Mountain House trails or Minnewaska property from Mohonk Preserve trails but may not enter the hotel or use any of the facilities.
