Library Week 2026

Celebrate National Library Week with your Library in the Park!
- See below for more details -

National Library Week is an annual celebration that recognizes the vital role libraries and library professionals play in enriching lives, supporting lifelong learning, and strengthening our communities. Libraries are more than places to borrow books—they are welcoming spaces where people of all ages can discover new ideas, access reliable information, connect with others, and explore opportunities for personal and professional growth. Behind these services are dedicated library workers who provide guidance, expertise, and support to help community members learn, create, and succeed.

On April 21, 2026, we also celebrate National Library Workers Day, a special day set aside to recognize the incredible contributions of library staff. Library workers bring knowledge, creativity, and compassion to their work every day, helping connect people with resources, programs, technology, and information that can truly transform lives. Their commitment ensures that libraries remain vibrant, accessible community hubs where everyone is welcome to learn, engage, and grow.
