MAKE A SPLASH at YOUR LIBRARY!
2010 Summer Reading Program Special Events

Mondays at the Library:  FAMILY STORY TIME- 7:00pm in the Program Room.  Humor, music, picture books and a little audience participation.

Tuesdays all day:  DROP-IN CRAFT.  A self-directed craft in the Children's Room.

Wednesdays at 1:00pm:  ROSS' READERS- a summer book club for children leaving Kdg, 1st, 2nd grade, with teacher Betty Ross.

Wednesday, July 7 and 28 only,  3:00-4:00pm OR 4:00-5:00pm:  
READ TO ROMEO.  Our Therapy dog offers listening ears.
 
AND....... Wednesday July 21 at 3:00pm-  RONALD MCDONALD visits the Library!.  Join Ronald for stories and fun!

July 1:Make an awesome OCTOPUS MASK
and scare all the little fishes!

July 8: SHARK ZONE!
What do you really know about these creatures of the deep?  
Join us to watch the movie Eyewitness: Sharks
and then we'll test your knowledge!

July 15: SEASHELL EXPO
See, touch, and even listen to a beautiful collection of seashells.  
Bring your own to show, too. Make a craft from seashells to take home.

July 22: SCAVENGER HUNT!  
You'll be looking for fish, frogs, ducks, shells,
and other items from the water.  (We promise you won't get wet)

July 29: Free Movie FLIPPER
about a boy and his dolphin, rated G, run time 87 minutes.  
This is the 1963 version with Chuck Connors and Luke Halpin.


August 5: WET & WILD!
Fun summer games and a book to share, of course
 - if its nice we'll go outside and add water!

Saturdays at 1:00pm:  SHORT AND SWEET STORY TIME for our shortest and sweetest patrons!
