Special Events

Our First Lego-Building Event!

Thanks to your generous donations of Legos, 

our first Lego Building event will be 

Saturday, January 28th from 3:00 to 4:00 pm

This event is for ages 6 and up 

(Some bigger Legos wll be aavailable for smaller siblings if you must bring them along.  

Please note the Library's policy requires that an accompanying adult must stay in the building if your child is under 10.)

This program will be limited to Somers residents.

 SCHOOL BREAK ACTIVITIES: PIRATES!

Tuesday, February 21 through Saturday, February 25

Tuesday: Drop-in Craft all day

Wednesday: SPECIAL VISITOR: Julie Fortenberry, Illustrator of Pirate Boy visits the Library to show us how she creates the illustrations to go with the story.  You'll get a chance to try out her techniques too!  For ages 5 and up.  Register here 

Thursday: PIRATE SCHOOL  3:00 pm For all ages! Learn how to stand, talk, laugh, eat , walk, sing and swashbuckle like a pirate! Magic, music, gags, bubbles, and scads of participatory fun. No registration necessary. This program will be limited to Somers residents.

Friday: FREE MOVIE 1:00 pm  "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" a VeggieTales movie for all ages, rated G with a run time of 86 minutes.


Saturday: LEGO BUILDING from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.  What can you build that a pirate might use?  Bring your ideas and use our Legos.  Most appropriate for ages 6 and up. Register here
